BANNU: A suicide bomber rammed his explosives laden vehicle into a security check post in the sensitive area of Cantt., killing 2 persons and injuring 6, including 2 security men here on Wednesday.
The explosion occurred at a security check post which is located near the office of District Police Officer and CMH, sources said.
Witnesses said, an explosives laden vehicle rammed into the security check post, causing a loud explosion. This could be a suicide attack, sources said.
A double cabin land-cruiser and ‘Rikshaw’ were completely destroyed.
According to sources, human body parts were found littered on the street while the eye-witnesses said the blast killed 2 persons and injured 6 others, two of them security men while four were passers by.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Large contingents of security forces and police arrived at the site of the blast and put a cordon around the area. |
