Country’s territorial integrity to be safeguarded: Kayani

  RAWALPINDI: The 111th two-day corps commanders conference concluded here at the GHQ on Friday in which it was determined to fully defend the country’s stability.

Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiani said that all elements of national force would safeguard the stability of the country’s borders with the help and support of the people under the new democratic leadership.

He said that there is a complete understanding between the army and the government for protecting the national integrity.

General Kiani said this while addressing at the corps commanders conference at the GHQ, Rawalpindi. He presided over the conference.

This was told in the statement issued from the ISPR that a briefing was given to the participants of the conference about the present world and regional, military and geographical situation and also the recent strategic meetings with concerned groups of the region regarding the restoration of law and order.

All corps commanders and principal staff officers attended the conference which began on Thursday.
