Govt decides to deploy additional forces in NWFP, tribal areas |

RAWALPINDI: A high level meeting presided over by President Pervez Musharraf here on Monday decided to deploy additional forces in NWFP and tribal areas and enhance the capacity building of the forces in these areas to effectively combat the terrorism activities and militancy.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, the Governor NWFP and others attended the meeting at the presidential camp office.
Pakistan condemns all forms and manifestations of the terrorism and is desirous for peace and stability in Afghanistan, he said while addressing the meeting. |
