Mangal Bagh still controls Bara tehsil of the Khyber Agency despite a 13-day military operation two months back, which was mainly directed against him. He has now moved to Landikotal tehsil and announced implementation of his code of conduct there.
The political authorities told the jirga members to play their role in ousting LI chief and his volunteers from the area or a situation could arise where the government would be left with no other choice but to conduct operation there.
