Enhanced security on Eid-ul-Azha ordered

A meeting of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh was held on Thursday with its Director General (DG), Liaquat Ali in chair.

The Director General reviewed the security measures taken to ensure law and order on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha and directed the officials to take foolproof security measures across the province, particularly around Eidgahs, mosques, Imambargahs, shopping centres, sacrificial animal markets and other public places.

He said that the Rangers and police would hold a joint flag march and will remain on high alert during the Eid holidays.

He said that no organisation would not be allowed to collect hides without a NOC by the DCO, adding that no one will be allowed to pressurise people for hide collection and all hide collection points would be supervised.

Snap checking and mobile and motorcycle patrolling have been accelerated, while law enforcement agencies have been put on high alert at all entrance and exit points, railway stations and bus terminals in the city Karachi.
