Two women killed in Tirah shelling

BARA: Two women were killed and as many injured when an artillery shell landed in a house Storikhel area of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency on Wednesday. Local sources said three children from the same family were also injured in the incident. Dozens of people from Storikhel, Spin Kamar and other areas have started migration as the operation Khwakh Ba De Sham continued for the second day. According to the locals, the troops pounded the hideouts of militants in the mountainous Tirah Valley. They said Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) volunteers were hiding on the Bara side of Tirah while the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) men were living on the Orakzai side of the valley. The people of the affected areas have demanded of the government to give them some relaxation to leave the areas.
