HYDERABAD: The activists of the Sindh People’s Youth and the Sindh People’s Students Federation on Thursday set an effigy of former president Pervez Musharraf on fire after a mock trial of the former dictator.

They also took out a rally in support of President Asif Ali Zardari under the banner of ‘Pakistan Khapay’. The rally marched through various streets of the city and culminated outside the Hyderabad Press Club.

The workers and activists of different wings of the PPP attended the rally and chanted slogans against those hatching conspiracies against their party. SPY President Aajiz Dhamrah, Sohrab Marri of SPSF, Ahsan Abro and other PPP leaders led the rally and also addressed the participants.

The speakers slammed the forces involved in the alleged media trial of the government, especially President Zardari. They declared that conspiracies against the government were, in fact, conspiracies against Pakistan and such conspiracies would be foiled.
