| Special schools opened in 13 Sindh districts, says minister |

| HYDERABAD: Sindh Minister for Special Education & Bonded Labour Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi has said that schools of Special Education have been established in all 13 districts of the province under the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari. He said in order to ensure efficient delivery, monitoring committees had also been established with assignments to check, monitor and report to the higher authority on a priority basis. He was addressing a ceremony aimed at distributing uniforms and textbooks among special children at the Pilot School for Special Education, GOR Colony, Hyderabad, on Tuesday. The minister said the schools had been set up in Tando Allahyar, Mithi, Ghotki, Umerkot, Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan, Moro, Naushahro Feroze (Mehrabpur), Sakrand (Pir Zakiri), Khairpur Nathan Shah, Hala, Shaheed Benazirabad (Daur) and Qambar. He said the purpose was to bring the special children into the mainstream of the society through their skill development, enabling them to earn their livelihood. He said the PPP was determined for their absorption in the government and private institutions. |
