| Adeel wants military action in Peshawar suburbs |

| PESHAWAR: Senior Vice President of Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Haji Adeel has stressed the need for conducting military operation in tribal areas bordering Peshawar. Talking to media here Sunday, Adeel said unless military operation is launched in tribal areas located on the suburbs of Peshawar, the incidents of bomb blasts in provincial metropolis could not be stopped. He said security forces and the police are rendering matchless sacrifices for the safety and security of dwellers of the city, but for complete stoppage of such practice a crack down is must. Adeel said the suicide bomber, who exploded himself at Pistakhara Chowk had arrived from adjacent Bara area of Khyber Agency and his target was some populated area in Peshawar Saddar. Adeel also paid glowing tributes to the Police officials, who embraced martyrdom by blocking the entry of suicide bomber into the city. He added the police officials are effectively controlling law and order in the city, but the problem is that they do not have any access to adjacent tribal areas. He also suggested merger of Fata into NWFP as a result of which administrative measures would be taken effectively and the security forces could nab the culprits.Meanwhile, the government has extended full support to the community of Orakzai Agency by renovating Girls Primary School in Qambar Khel and completing water supply scheme in Lal Mela Girls Middle School. These schemes were identified by the community members of the respective villages in meetings held with local political administration. As these schools were lacking basic facilities, the political administration decided to immediately start work on the execution of these schemes. The renovation work of Girls Primary School Qambar Khel includes reconstruction of toilets, wood work in school doors, cupboards, windows, ventilators, reconstruction of the floors, plastering of stairs, painting and construction of boundary wall. Clean drinking water supply scheme was completed in Girls middle school Lala Mala because students were facing scarcity of water. The teachers and students of the school had to bring it from a distance of more then one kilometre through water bearers. During the work completion ceremony, PA Orakzai Riyaz Mahsood said that illiteracy was the root cause behind terrorism and extremism in the country and the government was committed to provide quality education to every citizen to maintain peace and stability in the region. He further informed that government was committed to provide basic facilities not only to every agency of the Fata but also to the every village of the area. Community elders, Malik Feroz Ali Sayed and Dostan Ali, praised the improved toilets and water supply in particular. |
