Ijaz will become the first Pakistani Tenpin bowler who would participate in the World Cup Tenpin Bowling Championship scheduled to take place in Melaka, Malaysia from November 13, 2009.
Ijaz, according to the statistics of Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation currently ranks Number 1 in Pakistan, would write Pakistan’s name in the history of bowling by participating in this grand slam event of the year.
Ijaz said that Pakistan has great talent in the game of bowling; however the game got very little attention here. “We have great talent here but the players don’t have a proper platform to showcase their talent. The government should step up and support this sport also as this sport has received high recognition in many other countries,” Ijaz said. More than eighty countries are expected to participate in the prestigious event.
