Rawalpindi blast widely condemned

The bomb blast at Shalimar plaza, The Mall, Rawalpindi here on Monday has been widely condemned. Several ministers, government officials and political leaders have strongly denounced the bomb blast and expressed their deep sorrow and grief at the loss of precious lives.

Those who expressed their grieve are; Senate Chairman Farooque H Naik and Deputy Chairman Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali, Federal Minister for Defence, Ch. Ahmad Mukhtar and Federal Minister for Defence Production, Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi, Federal Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti, Chairman Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Farzana Raja, Leader of the House Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari and Leader of the opposition in the senate Wasim Sajjad, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Azeem Daultana, President of PML (Like Minded) Senator Salim Saifullah Khan and Chairman of the party Hamid Nasir Chattha, Secretary General Humayun Akhtar Khan, former Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, Secretary Information Kashmala Tariq and others also denounced the attack, saying that such people would have to face the wrath of Allah Almighty and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.

Terming the blast as a cowardly act they said that the military operation in South Waziristan has weakened strength of militants and now they are doing such kind of act in a state of depression. These acts of terrorism could not demoralize the spirit of Pakistani nation, they said and urged the masses for forging strength among ranks and cadres and fight the nefarious designs of enemies.In their separate condolence messages they said it was a highly cowardly act to shed the blood of the innocent people.

The ministers sympathized with the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.They prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
