Two injured as shell hits house in Mohmand

GHALLANAI: A man and two of his sons were critically injured when an artillery shell struck their house in Kong area while members of peace committee captured five suspected militants after a gunfight in Khwezai tehsil in Mohmand Agency on Monday. Tribal sources said Said Khan and his two sons, Noor Rehman and Fazal Rehman, sustained serious injuries when an artillery shell reportedly fired by the security forces hit their house in Kong area in Khwezai subdivision. Their house was partially damaged, the sources added. The wounded persons were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar. The sources said that armed volunteers of Khwezai Peace Committee picked up five suspected militants after an exchange of gunfire. The committee later handed them and their weapons to the political administration.
