Qaim stresses decorum, punctuality by ministers

Chief minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah had taken note of decorum violation and late arrival at cabinet meeting on Saturday, the CM’s house spokesman said on Monday.

In a statement, the spokesman said that Sindh Chief Minister (CM) at start of Sindh Cabinet meeting directed to close main entrance door of Committee Room while the other door at next end of room was open which was used by ministers, Government officers, mediamen, protocol staff and service staff was coming in and going out.

The Spokesman added that one of the ministers forced attendants standing outside main entrance door and quarreled with those staff attendants to open the door. The staff asked the said minister to enter the hall from other gate as the meeting had started but he forcibly entered the hall by shouting and violating the decorum.

The spokesman further added that the Sindh CM Sindh asked that Minister that on his orders, the main door was closed so as to avoid interference and disturbance during meeting, while the Chief Minister asked to maintain decorum of meeting. He also stressed to observe punctuality while attending the Cabinet meeting, the spokesman added.

Meanwhile, Culture and Tourism Minister Sassui Palejo denied on Monday news reports which stated that Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had expressed displeasure when she was allegedly late for a cabinet meeting on Saturday.

In a statement issued on Monday, the culture minister said that she had to take her mother, who was unwell, to a doctor on Saturday, and had already sought permission from the chief minister for not attending the cabinet meeting. She further said that she had not been attending official meetings for the past several months due to her mother’s illness.
