Sindh govt to release Rs257.5m for CDGK

The Sindh government’s finance department will immediately release Rs257.5 to the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) to pay three months salaries to its employees while the remaining Rs257.5 million would be released over the following month.

This decision was taken during a meeting between Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and City Nazim Mustafa Kamal at the CM House on Wednesday. It was also decided to approach the federal government to provide the remaining amount for uplift scheme.

The CM informed the participants that if the district government had issues with federal government, the provincial government would raise the same before the Centre. He promised that the financial and other problems of the CDGK would be resolved.
