| MINGORA: Security forces claimed killing a would-be bomber at a time when he was preparing for the suicide mission in Tiligram in Swat valley on Wednesday. A press release of the ISPR said security forces acted on an intercept about a suicide mission and raided a house in Tiligram area, killing the potential bomber before he could leave for the mission. The ISPR claimed security forces had arrested 11 militants in Shalpin and Dabsar areas. Two others surrendered to security forces in Tiligram and Totano Banda. Earlier, security forces blocked the Ayub Bridge in Kanju and road at Fizzgat on a tip-off about the suicide bomber. According to Swat Media Centre, a ban has been imposed on motorcycles across the Swat Valley because of security reasons. People have, however, protested the move. Ration distributing points of the World Food Programme were closed again in the valley. The points were reopened after 17 days following a suicide attack on the Islamabad office of the WFP. All educational institutions in Swat Valley were also closed like the rest of the country because of security threat. |
