Tribal sources said that scores of fleeing tribesmen from South Waziristan had to stay in different areas of North Waziristan as the government imposed curfew in Bannu district and two tehsils of the tribal agency. It was learnt that residents of Zangara, Shaktoi and Karajkhel areas in South Waziristan were fleeing the tribal region via Dosalli-Shawal route. Meanwhile, the political administration opened the Miramshah-Ghulam Khan Road for traffic to facilitate the fleeing tribesmen after four months of blockade following a suicide attack on the Dardoni-II checkpost. The in-charge of the post Rehmat Hussain opened the road, which sent a wave of happiness among the transporters and the migrating people. Moreover, the personnel of Shawal Rifles arrested five elders of Borakhel tribe in Razmak on suspicion.
