Security forces, according to the daily update of the Inter-Services Public Relations, conducted search operation in Pirano, Palai and Dargai areas in Malakand Agency and arrested 17 suspected militants, including an Afghan national. The security forces also torched houses of three militants identified as Fida, Bakhtiar and Inayat.
The update said in Swat five militants surrendered to the security forces in Dewlai, two in Shahdhand Banda and one each in Bar Shawar (Matta) and Kabal. It added that five militants were apprehended in Tiligram near Manglawar.
