Thesis works by BFA students displayed

Rawalpindi: Students of the Fine Arts Department at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) exhibited their final thesis works, exploring diverse art mediums and themes.

The exhibits mainly related to the fields of photography, miniature painting, and textile & graphic designing.

In the category of photography, striking depictions were exhibited, exploring the ancient architecture of Taxila. In the field of computer graphics, students had created highly appealing and attention-grabbing paintings, mugs and calendars, highlighting moral lessons for children.

The work done in the field of textile designing was unique as well, as young artists had put on show colourful and fascinating designs that ranged from printed dresses to matching footwear. Students had also innovatively designed cushions, bedsheets, rugs, wall-hangings, curtains and shawls.

After inaugurating the show, FJWU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan appreciated the exhibits and appreciated the creativity, professionalism and aesthetic expression of students.

Professor Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, was present on the occasion along with a large number of students and faculty members.
