Promotions, appointments in Health Department

PESHAWAR: The NWFP Health Department on the recommendations of the Provincial Selection Board has made promotions and appointments.

A notification said Dr Muhammad Tahir associate professor of plastic surgery Postgraduate Medical Institute/Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar, Dr Capt Ejaz Hussain Siddiqui Radiologist City Hospital Kohat Road Peshawar, Dr Kifayat Khan associate professor of Paediatric Surgery Postgraduate Medical Institute/Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, Dr Muhammad Humayun associate professor of medicine Khyber Teaching Hospital/Khyber Medical College Peshawar, Dr Noor-ul-Iman associate professor of medicine Khyber Medical College/Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar promoted to the post of professors in grade 20 in there own discipline with immediate effect.

All the promoted professors have been posted at their previous satiations of duty. Similarly Dr Muhammad Tahir Khan assistant professor of Haematology Khyber Medical College Peshawar has been promoted to the post of associate professor of Haematology in BS-19 with immediate effect.

Moreover on the recommendation of NWFP Public Service Commission the Health Department has appointed, Dr Abdur Raza as senior registrar Paediatric in BS-18, Dr Bushra Shaheen as senior registrar gynae in BS-18 and Dr Mir Said Ali as senior registrar orthopaedic in BS-18 at Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital Bannu.

It may be mentioned here that Dr Tahir did his MBBS in 1983 from the Khyber Medical College Peshawar and FRCS from Royal College UK in 1994. He has to his credit three years work experience under eminent plastic surgeons in the United Kingdom. Tahir is at the moment is vying to for a state-of-the-art plastic, reconstructive and burn unit in the province.
