MULTAN: Two groups of lawyers clashed here on Monday due to objections raised by office-bearers of the Multan bar upon arrival of Attorney-General Sardar Latif Khosa there, forcing the attorney-general to leave for Lahore.

The Multan Bar Association had banned entry of Sardar Latif Khosa, yet he arrived at the bar accompanied by its former president Habibullah Shakir, Nasir Haideri, Arif Alvi, Rana Javed and other lawyers belonging to the People's Lawyers Forum where many other lawyers warmly welcomed them and had tea.

Meanwhile, Multan Bar Secretary Rana Naveed and some other lawyers objected to Khosa's presence there and asked him to leave. Senior lawyers like Sahibzada Farooq Ali Khan, Malik Haider Usman, Mian Abbas and others tried to convince them but the bar office-bearers started chanting slogans and a quarrel broke out between both groups.

The attorney-general then decided to leave for Lahore. Before leaving the bar Khosa said it was his bar, he built it yet every one had a right of differences and he honours it.
