Says Daesh has no presence in Pakistan; some militant outfits using its name
to carry out terrorism; people become his enemies when he censures them
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Saturday that Madaris (religious seminaries) are a means of curbing terrorism, adding that people become his enemies when he criticises them.
Addressing a press conference here, Nisar said that those who criticise the government’s efforts to curb terrorism make the terrorists strong. He said that such negative criticism should be stopped.
The minister said that opponents should avoid point-scoring on terrorism. “Even those who have completed their five years tenure sleeping, are criticising us now,” said Nisar.
Answering a question about Daesh, Nisar said that Daesh does not exist in Pakistan; opponents are making it an issue to use against the government. He said that the war against terrorism will continue till the elimination of the last terrorist.
Ch Nisar said that to win the war against terrorists at the psychological front, it is necessary to use the media. He said that it has been decided with consensus to register seminaries and soon there will be an announcement about it.
The interior minister also said that there is no presence of Daesh in Pakistan but some militant outfits are using its name. He said some terrorist groups are carrying out violence in the name of Daesh.
