PEF free educational interventions

Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) on Thursday introduced different free educational interventions to help the needy and disfranchised segments for the education of their children.

Chairman PEF Qamar-ul-Islam Raja shared above said information while talking to a delegation of school partners at his office.

He said that this step of PEF had encouraged the low income families to send their children to schools, instead of languishing them in child labour activities.

He said that Punjab Education Foundation had benefitted the private sector through its initiatives. These initiatives are useful and encouraging the downtrodden segments for schooling of their children as expenses are paid by the Punjab Education Foundation.

He said that PEF had important role in achieving the goal of 100 percent enrolment in schools by 2018.

We are committed to bring every child into the school so that they may emerge as social assets, instead of becoming liabilities, he added. He said that Punjab Education Foundation had laid the foundation of an educated Pakistan by opening the doors of education to the masses.

MD Punjab Education Foundation Tariq Mahmood said that the total percentage of girls in PEF partner schools in the Punjab was 45 percent. This shows great interest of our girls in learning. 

PU results: Punjab University Examinations Department on Thursday declared the results of BCom Part-I Second Annual examination 2015. 

Meanwhile, Punjab University (PU) Examinations Department has also issued the schedule for submission of admission fee & forms for Diploma in Textile Design and Diploma in Interior Design annual examinations 2015. 

The last date for submission of admission forms for said exams with single fee is 19-2-16 while the forms can be submitted with double fee till 22-2-16. The details are available at PU website www.pu.edu.pk.
