Public health quality revolutionised: CM

A delegation of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The chief minister, while talking on the occasion, said reforms of revolutionary nature had been introduced for the provision of quality public health facilities as improvement of health services system was the priority of the government. He said the Provincial government had given the biggest budget of the history of the province for health sector. 

Shahbaz said field of research and development was of vital importance for the provision of quality medical facilities. He said there was a need to pay special attention to the training of doctors, new courses and specialisation for offering modern treatment facilities to the masses. He issued instructions for setting up a committee for sending recommendations with regard to doctors’ training, modern courses and specialisation. The chief minister said there was a need for keeping machinery functional at the hospitals. He said the Punjab government had issued instructions for conducting audit for checking machinery and equipments as well as stock of medicines at the hospitals.
