BIEK declares 2015 supplementary exam results

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) declared results of supplementary examinations 2015 of Commerce (Private), Science General, Pre-Medical, and Pre-Engineering groups on Thursday.

The BIEK controller of examinations, Muhammad Dabeer, announced that 3, 463 candidates had registered for Commerce (Private) Group and 3, 342 students appeared of which 1, 190 candidates passed the exam. The overall passing percentage was 35.61 percent.

According to gazette, 2, 520 male students registered, out of which 2, 426 candidates appeared and 808 students were declared successful. The passing percentage was 33.31 percent. Meanwhile, 943 female candidates registered and 916 students appeared of which 382 candidates cleared their papers. The passing percentage was 41.70 percent.

As per gazette, 18 male and five female students received B-grade, 99 male and 55 female candidates passed their exams with C-grade, 606 male and 294 female students got D-grade while 85 male and 28 female candidates received E-grade.

Science General Group  

The gazette also shows that 872 students had registered of which 844 candidates appeared and 376 students cleared the Science General exams. The overall passing percentage was 44.55 percent.

As many as 540 male candidates registered of which 525 students appeared and 262 candidates were declared passed. The passing percentage was 49.90 percent. In the Science General group 332 female students had registered and 319 candidates appeared of which 114 students managed to clear their papers. The passing percentage was 35.74 percent.

It also revealed that one female candidate got A-grade, seven male and 10 female students received B-grade, 75 male and 58 female candidates cleared papers with C-grade, 178 male and 45 female students obtained D-grade while two male candidates got E-grade.

Pre-Medical Group

With an overall passing percentage as 36.96 percent, the gazette shows that 6, 658 students had registered for Pre-Medical Group and 6, 459 candidates had appeared of which 2, 387 students cleared the exams.

 As per gazette, 1, 725 male candidates had registered of which 1, 662 students appeared and 605 candidates passed the exams. The passing percentage was 36.40 percent. Meanwhile, 4, 933 female students registered of which 4, 797 candidates appeared and 1, 782 students managed to clear their exams. The passing percentage was 37.15 percent.  While only two male and three female candidates had A-grade, 15 male and 59 female students got B-grade, 131 male and 823 female candidates received C-grade and 401 male and 876 female students passed exams with D-grade. 46 male and 18 female candidates acquired E-grade. Also, 10 male and three female students were declared successful without any grade.

 

Pre-Engineering Group

As many as 11, 512 candidates had registered for Pre-Engineering Group and 11, 183 students appeared and 4, 883 candidates cleared their papers. The overall passing percentage was 43.66 percent.

According to the gazette 8, 958 male students had registered for exams and 8, 697 candidates appeared of which 4, 036 students managed to clear their papers — the passing percentage was 46.41 percent. Meanwhile, 2, 554 female candidates registered and 2, 486 students appeared of which 847 candidates were declared pass. The passing percentage was 34.07 percent.

It further shows that 11 male and four female students received A-grade, 87 male and 28 female candidates got B-grade, 960 male and 367 female students had C-grade, 2, 670 male and 431 female candidates passed their exams with D-grade, 308 male and 16 female students had E-grade while one female candidate was declared pass without any grade.
