Mansehra police arrest killers of three persons

MANSEHRA: The police Tuesday claimed to have arrested killers of three persons whose bodies were found at different localities in the city during the last one-week.

“A scientific investigation and raids in Kashmir and parts of the district led to the arrest of three murderers,” Sonia Shamroz Khan, assistant superintendent of police (ASP), told a press conference here.

The woman senior police officer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expressed her resolve to curb crimes in the district.She said that she herself let the raids in Muzaffarabad and Balakot for arrest of the accused. Mohammad Altaf allegedly killed Shahjehan after he snatched Rs150, 000 from him and dumped the body at a deserted place at Kotka area, she added.

ASP Sonia Khan said that the accused was also wanted in connection with the murder of another man in Balakot.She added that murderer of one Mohammad Arif, whose body was found in the forest in Behali after search of two days, was also arrested.

The official alleged that Mohammad Hanif axed to death his business partner Mohammad Arif earlier this week.She maintained that the body of another victim, Mushtaq, was found in Kotka area, adding the police nabbed the killer Said Agha.

She said that in separate raids five proclaimed offenders were also arrested and arms were recovered from their possession. She said that mock exercises or operations were being carried out at schools and sensitive places as precautionary measures to cope with any untoward situation.
