Islamabad: If you plan to step out over the imminent weekend for recreation with family or friends, then a pleasant weather is ready to make the day really joyous for you all.
According to an official of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, there is a high likelihood of light to moderate rain falling in Islamabad and Rawalpindi tomorrow (Saturday).
And even the twin cities will see more rainfall between next Tuesday (February 9) and Thursday (February 11).
“Light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected on the weekend followed by another westerly wave, which is to produce more rain and snowfall from the middle of the next week in the country.
“Isolated rain with snowfall over the hills is likely to fall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Malakand, Hazara, Gujranwala, Lahore, Quetta and Kalat divisions over the weekend (Saturday). In the next week from Tuesday to Thursday, scattered rainfall with snowfall over the hills is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” the official said.
The weatherman said expected amount of rainfall over the Potohar plateau and rain-fed areas of KP was enough to satisfy the water requirement of wheat, grams and pulses. "Supplementary irrigation is not required at this stage," he said.
