Sindh Advocate General Nasir Ahmed Durrani has resigned from office, citing personal reasons, four months after his appointment in January.
However, sources in the provincial government said authorities were not satisfied with his performance in his cases in superior courts.
A private counsel would defend the government in several high-profile cases pertaining to land allotment and local bodies elections, they said.
