Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Punjab, Najam Ahmad Shah has promised to bring policymakers and stakeholders on a single platform devise an effective strategy to provide quality treatment to hemophilia patients.
“Though less in number, yet hemophilia patients are our responsibility and the Punjab government will formulate a policy to provide treatment to hemophilia patients in the province,” he observed while speaking at a seminar on “Treatment for All is the Vision of All” organised in connection with World Hemophilia Day 2016 by the Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman Memorial Society (Jang Group of Newspapers) in collaboration with the Pakistan Society of Hematology (PSH) and novo nordisk here at a local hotel the other day.
The secretary said the Punjab government would take solid steps to provide treatment to hemophilia patients, which would be implemented in the health sector of Punjab in the near future. He also appreciated the organisers on holding seminars on public health issues, which were a very effective tool to create awareness among the public and policymakers.
