A court issued the third non-bailable warrant on Saturday for the arrest of UK-based Pakistani businessman Sarfaraz Merchant for his alleged involvement in two fraud cases.
The judicial magistrate (South), hearing the fraud charges against Merchant,
issued his arrest warrant and
ordered his appearance on
May 28.
A complainant, Zafar Faridi, alleged that the accused had extorted around Rs2.5 million from him by threatening him with filing a fake case against him. He said Merchant had also snatched his vehicle on March 12, 2014.
