Vacationing GB teacher killed in mugging

Karachi 

A school teacher from Gilgit-Baltistan who was in the city on vacations was shot dead in a mugging bid in the Shah Faisal Colony police limits on Tuesday. 

According to a police official, the robbers had intercepted 26-year-old Azhar Hussain, near the Green Town railway crossing and shot him dead when he tried to put up resistance.

The killers managed to flee with the victim's cash and valuables. 

Though area residents managed to get him to a private hospital, Azhar breathed his last during medical treatment.

Later, his body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities.
