MANSEHRA: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F-), Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, on Wednesday alleged that the PPP was involved in the registration of fake votes in LA-41, valley 6 constituency, comprising the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“We would not allow any non-Kashmiri to vote in the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections in KP. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should check pre-poll rigging taking place in name of registration of votes,” said Mohammad Fiaz Solaria, deputy general secretary of JUI-F AJK while talking to reporters here.

He said that AJK Minister Bahaliat (Restoration) Abdul Majid Khan was involved in gross violation of laws. He said the minister in question got fake votes registered in LA-41, valley 6.

He alleged that Abdul Majid embezzled huge funds meant for establishment of residential colonies for Kashmiri refugees in Mansehra, Shinkiari, Mardan, Havelian, Swat and Peshawar. “The minister acquired land at far-off and underdeveloped areas to receive kickbacks,” Solaria said.

The JUI-F leader said that the minister was still giving away allotment documents to his blue-eyed persons.Solaria said that funds meant for dowry and Zakat were embezzled and the deserving families were deprived of their rights. “We will move the court of law, if government doesn’t initiate an inquiry into the embezzlement and the registration of non-Kashmiris as voters,” he said.
