Birds and Cats Show held at Ayub National Park

The first ‘Birds and Cats Show’ was organised by Army Heritage Foundation at the Ayub National Park in collaboration with Qureshi Enterprise (Smart Hearts) was held here on Sunday evening.

The show was opened for all types of birds and cats. The birds and cats lovers had shown their keen interest by participating in the show as far as from Wah and Taxil besides encouraging participation from Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The main attraction in the birds category were parrots whereas in the cats category the Persian Cats attracted the attention of visitors and general public.

The spectators were fascinated and applauded the different breeds/species of birds and cats. The spectators also remained involved and cherished the conduct of show, arrangements for the amusement were made by arranging hand tamed Parrot Show, miniature horse’s ride, Jumping Bouncers, face painting etc through ‘Jungle World-An Icon of Army Heritage Foundation.’

The chief guest Faheem Qureshi (CEO Qureshi Enterprise) and the host Director General Army Heritage Foundation Brigadier Zaman Nasrullah Khan Niazi (r) were appreciative of the show. The chief guest awarded the prizes and congratulated the winner participants. Miss Samia Imran whose Persian cat won the first prize was highly appreciative of the show. In the birds category, Anwar Hussain's parrot yellow and gold macaw won the first prize.

The Director General Army Heritage Foundation, Brigadier Zaman Nasrullah Khan Niazi (r), SI (M), while speaking to ‘The News’ said that Army Heritage Foundation is committed to provide secure, comfortable and healthy environment to general public at Ayub National Park and the Birds and Cats Show is one of the examples out of many. “Special emphases are laid to generate amusement, sports and adventurous oriented activities by developing certain facilities especially for families and youth,” he said.

Brigadier Zaman Nasrullah Khan Niazi said that recently, the attractive adventurous facilities added in the Sports Arena of Ayub National Park are Vintage Vehicles Park (WW1& 2 Tanks/Guns), Mini Train Ride of 2.7 km, Archery Range, Paintball Shooting Range and Zip Line thrill. Brigadier Zaman Nasrullah appreciated and thanked the participants and sponsors, Brigadier Khalid Hameed Chughtai (r) and Ayub National Park management for successful conduct of the show.
