BISHAM: At least 14 local government representatives Sunday threatened to resign in protest if the government failed to resume work on the Shang-Bisham gridstation.Speaking at a press conference here, elected members of five union councils in Bisham said the work on Shang-Bisham gridstation was launched in 2014, which was scheduled to be completed in 18-month.
However, they said, the government had so far completed the boundary wall of the project. The councillors including Amirzada, Shahid Noor, Nosherwan Swati, Haroon Rasheed and others said that the residents of Bisham tehsil would announce boycott of meetings of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz if the project was not completed at the earliest. The councillors also warned of resigning as local government representatives if work on the project was not resumed forthwith.
