Imran joins the billionaire club in parliament

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has joined the ranks of billionaires in the Parliament and has himself declared that his assets are worth over Rs1.313 billion.

Imran Khan, before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), has declared that he owns around 1,660 kanals land in the country of which 315 kanals are being used as residential properties.

Imran Khan has showed in his assets that besides lavish Rs750 million Bani Gala mansion (gifted), he now also owns Rs5.97 million flat in Grand Hayat, Islamabad. 

Last year, Imran had declared that he owned 1,585 sq ft Clara Apartment in the diplomatic enclave of the capital worth Rs1.175 million but this year the PTI chief has not declared this apartment. Instead, he now owns “2-bed flat type-E, level-11, tower C, Constitution Avenue, Grand Hayat Development Islamabad”. Imran Khan has mentioned that his new flat is worth Rs5.97 million and he has paid instalments till date.

Imran has declared that he owns a 300 kanals and 5-marla house in Islamabad which is worth Rs750 million and it has been shown as a gift. His inherited property of 7 kanals and 8 marlas in Zaman Park Lahore is worth Rs222 million. His share in 10 marlas house in Mianwali (inherited) is Rs1 million. 

The ECP documents further reveal that Imran Khan has declared that he also owns 80 kanals land at Mauza Rangiyan Phaliyan, Ferozwala, Sheikhupura (inherited) which is worth Rs15 million. His 141 kanals land at Sheikh Gogar and Gadola Dogar Bhakkar is worth Rs8.812 million.

He also owns eight acres land at Chak No. 30 Alaf Bhakkar which is estimated to be of Rs4 million price. Moreover, his 59 kanals land at Dogar Ratas Sarki Bhakkar is of Rs3.7 million and 60 kanals land at Chak No. 185 Bhakkar is of Rs3.75 million value.

In Bhakkar, he also owns 170 kanals land at Mauza Dangiyan which is worth Rs10.625 million.

He has also been gifted agriculture land measuring 530 kanal - 15 marlas at Chak No. 104/15L Mian Channu, Khanewal which is worth Rs99.5 million.

243 kanals 16 marlas land at Mauza Dingiyan Mankera, Bhakkar is also owned by Imran Khan according to his assets declaration before the ECP and this land is worth Rs8 million as per the PTI chief.  

He also owns 6 kanals 16 marlas land at Mohra Noor, Islamabad which is valued at Rs120 million. He has also share in nine marlas plot in Crescent Town, Multan Road, Lahore which is valued at Rs2.5 million. 

Imran Khan’s Pardo is worth Rs5 million while he owns jewellery worth Rs1 million. Imran Khan has Rs11,224,097 cash in hand while Rs52 million cash has been placed in four different foreign currency bank accounts and Rs5.2 million is in three other bank accounts of the PTI chief. The furniture and other articles in his use are worth Rs1 million while two cows and one buffalo are of Rs300,000. Imran has declared that he has to pay Rs461,475 as dues (agriculture tax payable in his name).
