Punjab University students from various departments have participated in different competitions and shown their outstanding performances in CDES 18th All Pakistan Performing Arts Festival 2016 (APPAF) and declared Overall Champion.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the event was organised by Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology (GIKI) Topi, District Swabi. Students from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Wajahat Aurangzeb and Subaina Javed were declared best production and best actress respectively. Students from Institute of Social & Cultural Studies (ISCS) Zain-ul-Abdeen and Zeeshan Ali were declared best supporting actor and best vocalist respectively. Best instrumental were Muslim Shahgan and Zeeshan Ali from ICS and ISCS respectively.
A student from College of Art & Design Hamza Ijaz was declared best choreographer while Zeeshan Ali and Muslim Shahgan from Institute of Social & Cultural Studies and ICS were declared best band respectively. Students including Subaina Javed, Sibte Hassan, Osama Ghayyur, Sara Tariq, Roshaney Saeed, Syeda Labiqua Hassan, Hasnian Jameel, Zain-ul-Abdeen, Usman Rehan, Wajahat Aurangzeb, Hammas Chaudhry, Hashim Umer, Ateeq-ur-Rehman, Atta Subhani, Muhammad Arsalan and Zeeshan Ali presented best play and clinched team trophy as well. —Correspondent
