KARACHI: MQM MNA Nabil Gabol, who withdrew his resignation from the National Assembly just minutes after having sent it to his party, said the differences with the party had been resolved.However, sources close to him told The News that due to some differences between the party and Nabil Gabol, the party chief had asked him to resign from the National Assembly, but later those differences were resolved.Nabil Gabol could not be reached by phone.It was also learnt that Nabil had reservations over being marked absent from party meetings without being called to them.

Telephone tower blown up in Pasni
QUTTA: Unidentified men blew up a telephone tower in Pasni tehsil of Gwadar district.Police said on Tuesday that unidentified men attached explosives with a telephone tower in Pasni area and detonated it, damaging the pylon. The police have registered a case against the suspects. Further probe was underway.

Ex-PHC CJ Abdul Karim Kundi laid to rest

TANK: Former chief justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abdul Karim Khan Kundi passed away and was laid to rest on Tuesday. He was 79.He breathed his last in a hospital in Islamabad and his body was brought to his native Tank district for burial. He was the father of Attorney General of Pakistan, Afnan Karim Kundi.The funeral prayers for the deceased were offered and he was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Gul Imam village in Tank. People from various walks of life including judges, lawyers, civil officers and local people attended the funeral prayers for the deceased in large numbers.

Another Mansehra attack victim dies

MANSEHRA: Another cop injured in the attack on the police van succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, sources said. Additional Station House Officer Mohammad Fareed was killed and two cops, including Mohammad Ajmal and driver Mohammad Rizwan, were injured when their vehicle was targetted with an explosive device on the Karakorum Highway on Monday night.
