The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has been working hard so that no deserving child is left without education and special attention is paid to the schooling of girls from low income families.
The Foundation Managing Director Tariq Mahmood said this while talking to a four-member delegation of international donors led by senior education adviser of Department for International Development (DFID) Ms Barbara Payne at his office on Wednesday, according to a handout issued here.
He told the delegation that innovative mobile schooling project had already been launched in Bahawalpur division to educate the nomad children dwelling in deep Cholistan desert.
Meanwhile, PEF MD Tariq Mahmood also chaired the weekly coordination meeting of programme directors at his office on Wednesday. He asked the partner schools to ensure entry of updated data of their students in Student Information System (SIS) of the PEF maximum by 25th of every month so that their monthly payments could be made according to the schedule. He expressed his satisfaction that monthly online payment system had been designed for timely funding to the school partners besides introducing different useful interventions to ensure provision of quality education to students from economically deprived families. He directed the partner schools to ensure that best educational facilities were provided to the students.
