Prince Charles meets President Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Britain's Prince Charles and President Musharraf have stressed the need of dialogue for interfaith harmony during a meeting held at the President House here on Monday.

Prince Charles called on President Musharraf in Islamabad and discussed bilateral cultural, economic and education relations between the two countries.

Musharraf said that Britain and Pakistan enjoying cordial and friendly relations, which would be further strengthened with the visit of Prince Charles.

Musharraf praised the services of Prince Charles’ charity for the development of different sectors in Pakistan. He also thanked Britain for the aid provided for quake victims.

Prince Charles said that he would like to play more effective role in youth, children and women development in Pakistan.

He said his meeting with leaders of various faiths in Pakistan would promote interfaith dialogue.

Meanwhile Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, called on separately with first lady Sehba Musharraf and discussed the issues of women welfare and social development.
