After months of waiting, the trailer for Karan Johar’s Kapoor & Sons starring Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra is finally here and we have to say that it came with a mighty dose of celebrity power.
Fawad Khan, alongside the rest of his Kapoor & Sons crew, was present at the trailer launch event in India where he spoke to the press and reflected on his onscreen journey.
In Kapoor & Sons, Fawad Khan is playing son to Ratna Pathak Shah who also played the role of his mother in his debut Bollywood film, Khoobsurat. Noting the connection, Fawad remarked at the trailer launch that Ratna Shah has become his permanent mother on screen.
“I think she is my permanent filmi maa. Working with a veteran actress like her was great given I am completely new,” said Khan.
Calling Ratna a party animal, Fawad added, “It is a delight to work with actors from whom you can learn something. She (Ratna Pathak Shah) is very giving and collaborative. She is a party animal.”
Though Fawad is only in his second feature film, the actor is happy with the way his career has shaped up.
“I have been fortunate to get good films. I had a wonderful time doing the film. It was like family. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
Directed by Shakun Batra, Kapoor & Sons is slated to release on March 18.
