One can’t believe everything that’s up on social media because rumours tend to outrace truth online. A case in point: the upcoming Pakistani film, titled 8-Pass Charlie Brothers.
According to a Facebook post, this upcoming film is based on Pakistan Air Force, particularly on an unknown bomber ace, who raided the Indian Adampur base multiple times during the 1965 war and was called ‘8-Pass Charlie’ by Indian adversaries.
But that’s not the reason for the hype. Apparently, this patriotic display of cinema will feature Shaan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mehwish Hayat and newbie Alizeh Nassr and music from Hadiqa Kiyani and Ali Azmat. While this is a dream line-up, it’s in fact merely a dream. When Instep approached Shaan for a confirmation, his publicist denied the news and said, “This has got nothing to do with us. As you can see there is no information posted regarding it on Shaan’s official Facebook page or Twitter account. This is merely a publicity stunt.”
Misinformation can be disappointing but fans of Shaan can take solace in the fact that the actor has quite a few projects up his sleeve. He will soon be seen in the long-delayed war saga Yalghaar. In addition, he is also working on Arth 2 alongside Humaima Malick and Mohib Mirza, and is taking the director’s chair for Zarrar.
