The latest crop of actors to have backed musical projects includes superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. While Salman Khan is producing a film with a musical beat called Jugalbandi, Aamir has announced his next film after Dangal with a similar theme.
In Salman’s case, Jugalbandi will not feature him in the role of a musician but in the seat of the film producer. The film will star Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor.In Aamir’s case, the project will see him essay the role of a music producer and he will also produce it under his company’s banner.
In addition, Farhan Akhtar’s Rock On 2 is all set to release this year after years of controversy over who owns the rights. In the sequel, Akhtar will reprise his role alongside Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai. Shraddha Kapoor has been added to the cast while Abhishek Kapoor has been replaced as director by Shujaat Saudagar.
