Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha, who will be seen as a Karachi-based journalist in Noor (Bollywood adaptation of Saba Imtiaz’s popular novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me!), seems to have a lot up her sleeve this year. After signing Abhay Chopra’s remake of 1969 murder mystery Ittefaq opposite Sidharth Malhotra, the actress has given the nod to Namastey England in which she will share the screen with Akshay Kumar. The actress took to twitter yesterday to confirm the news. “Namaste England. It’s official!” she tweeted.

“Sonakshi will feature in a never-seen-before avatar. We are currently in the pre-production stage. Let me make it clear that our film is not a sequel or a continuation of Namastey London (the 2007 rom-com featuring Akki and Katrina Kaif),” director Vipul Shah told Times of India. “We will be shooting in England, Paris, Switzerland, Brussels and Punjab. It could take us around six months to wrap up the film,” he added.

The film is expected to go on floor at the end of this year. The lead actors as well as the director are busy with other commitments right now. Shah, who is also producing John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Force 2 is currently tied up with that while Kumar and Sinha are busy shooting for other films. Sinha and Kumar have previously worked together in several films including Rowdy Rathore, Holiday, Boss, Joker, and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara.
