RAWLPINDI: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said the government will go to any length to win the ongoing war against the menace of terrorism.
Talking to media persons here at a mass wedding of 25 couples, Chaudhry Nisar underlined the need for greater unity for standing up against the terrorism.
He said not all the Madressah’s (religious seminaries) are involved in terrorist activities.
“A agreement has been reached among all stakeholder for registration of Madressahs in the country,” he said, adding, a formal announcement in this regard will be made soon.
He said a meeting of Wafaqul Madaris is being convened to which Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will also be invited.
Chaudhry Nisar said Daesh is not present in Pakistan in its original shape. It is an Arab based group and here some organization only try to use its name, he added.
He said the government is winning the war against terrorism, adding, a number of terrorist plans have been foiled.
“We have to show a resolute face to the enemy and not a weak one,” he said, adding, those indulging in rhetoric used to face bomb blasts every other day when they were in power.
Commenting on the progress of Muttahida Qumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq’s murder case, the Interior Minister said the case is registering speedy progress.
Earlier, Chaudhry Nisar distributed Rs100,000 each to the marrying couples at the mass wedding.
