KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Chairman PPP visited Sindh High Court and met with Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah at his chambers and assured him that all out efforts are being made by Sindh government and law enforcing agencies for recovery of his kidnapped son Barrister Awais Shah.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was accompanied by Ali Haider Gilani son of former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Political Secretary to the Chairman Jameel Soomro.
PPP Chairman remained with the Chief Justice Sindh High Court for more than half an hour and informed him that every step is being taken in a coordinated way for early and safe recovery and he himself is personally concerned and monitoring the efforts.
He said entire Sindh government and people of the country are in solidarity with the family of honorable Chief Justice.
Before visiting the Chief Justice SHC he held an emergency meeting to discuss the law and order situation of the city.
The meeting held at Bilawal House was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, provincial interior minister and the IG Sindh police A D Khwaja.
The police IG briefed Bilawal over the Karachi operation, sources said.
The party chairman was briefed over investigation for Awais Ali Shah’s kidnapping and the murder of Amjad Sabri, sources said.
Last week prominent qawwal Amjad Sabri was gunned down in the city's Liaquatabad area while the son of Sindh High Court's Chief Justice, Owais Ali Shah was kidnapped from the city's posh Clifton area.
