KILLA SAIFULLAH: Last survey conducted in Balochistan was not up to the mark and BISP under directions of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar would ensure that Balochistan gets equity in the new survey.

This is possible only if far flung areas of Balochistan are covered well in the new survey.

Balochistan is our priority and government would make sure that no deserving woman in Balochistan remains deprived of financial assistance of BISP.

This was stated by Minister of State and Chairperson BISP, MNA, Marvi Memon while addressing a gathering of elected members of local bodies, notables and BISP beneficiaries at Qila Saifullah in Balochistan.

In a bid to reach to the neglected women and understand their problems Chairperson BISP, along with Nawab Ayaz Khan and respective local government office bearers, visited UC Sadar Qilla Saifullah, Killi Kar Karan and Abdul Karez.

Chairperson BISP’s visits are part of beneficiary outreach campaign just ahead of the launch of pilot phase of NSER update.

She had visited Sukkur, Jacobabad, Naseerabad and Dera Murad Jamali earlier this week.

Responding to the queries of women, Chairperson stated that being the directory of real poor, updated NSER would be an asset for all.

Updated NSER would contribute towards effective policy making and better targeted programs.

NSER update is a challenge and BISP team would come up to the expectations.

Currently being 5th in the world, the aim is to lead the world after clinching the top position in targeting the poor population.

BISP will initiate resurvey by middle of this year in fifteen districts and a tribal agency, namely Mirpur (AJK), Charsadda, Lakki Marwat, Haripur (KP), Chakwal, Layyah, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur (Punjab), Jacobabad, Sukkar, Thatta (Sindh),  Gilgit (Gilgit-Baltistan), Qila Saifullah, Kech, Nasirabad (Balochistan) and Mohammand Agency (FATA).

After completion of the pilot phase, national roll out of resurvey will start in January 2017
