KARACHI: At least 25 more dengue viral fever cases have been reported in Sindh province in a week out of which 20 were detected from Karachi, taking the patients toll 510 in the province since 1st January 2016.
According to weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention and Control Program (DPCP) Sindh, at least 25 new dengue fever cases surfaced in Sindh province from 29 April to 05 May 2016, out of which 20 were reported from Karachi, two from Hyderabad and one each from Dadu, Sukkur and Larkana.
A total 20 new dengue fever cases were detected in Karachi last week out of which six were reported from District Central, five from District South, four from District West and five from District East.
This year, a total 510 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since 1st January 2016, out of which 479 were detected from Karachi, seven from Hyderabad, four from Sukkur, two each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Naushero Feroz, Larkana, and one each from Dadu, Tharparkar, Umer Kot, Sanghar, Ghotki, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirbad and Shikarpur, respectively.
