LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced an increase of Rs.1000 per month in the salaries of labourers here at a special ceremony held to mark the International labour Day.
He also vowed to eliminate child labour from the province of Punjab while addressing at the ceremony.
The chief minister Punjab said that every labourer will get a salary of Rs 14,000 from July 1.
He also announced that Rs.1000 would be paid monthly to each child, who would leave brick kiln and enroll in the school.
