Pakistan, India foreign secretary-level talks held in New Delhi

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry held a meeting with his Indian counterpart dr. S. Jaishankar on the sidelines of ‘Heart of Asia’ conference in New Delhi on Tuesday.

According to spokesman of the Pakistan High Commission in India, “All outstanding issues including Kashmir came under discussion between the two foreign secretaries.”

The Foreign Secretary emphasized that Kashmir remains the core issue that requires a just solution, in accordance with United Nations resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people.

In line with our Prime Minister's vision of peaceful neighborhood, the Foreign Secretary underscored Pakistan's commitment to have friendly relations with all its neighbors, including India.

The meeting provided a useful opportunity to exchange views on recent developments in bilateral context.

Kulbhushan Yadav's Arrest

Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry also raised issue of the arrest of Indian spy agent Kulbhushan Yadav in talks. He expressed concern over RAW's subversive actions in Balochistan and Karachi.

“Such actions are hurdles for Pak-India to normalize relations,” Aizaz Chaudhry and emphasized on early resumption of comprehensive dialogue, the Pak HC spokesman said.

High Commissioner of Pakistan to India, Abdul Basit also attended the meeting.
