| Rs2.8 million looted from ATM |

Robbers on Friday looted around Rs2.8 million from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of a private bank’s branch in Malir City in the limits of the Saudabad police station.
The police said that the incident took place in the wee hours of Friday when the robbers dismantled the installation of the ATM with a gas cutter and decamped with the cash.
The robbers also took away all CCTV cameras and other technical devises installed in the bank.
The Saudabad police lodged a case (321/09) against unidentified robbers on the complaint of bank manager, Syed Kaleem Imam.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed when a vehicle rammed into his bike on the Native Jetty Bridge in the limits of the Jackson police station. The victim, identified as Muhammad Nawaz, 30, son of Muhammad Saeed. He was the resident of Baldia town.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Civil Hospital Karachi where he succumbed to injuries.
