LAHORE
IN compliance with the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the Health Department has provided the PCR Laboratory facilities for hepatitis patients in eight hospitals of the province whereas six more such labs would be functional within a month or so.
According to a handout here on Thursday, the Health Department spokesman said that at present PCR diagnostic facility had been made available at the BVH, Bahawalpur, Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, Civil Hospital, Multan, Civil Hospital, Shujaabad, Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan, DHQ Hospital, Hafizabad, DHQ Hospital, Faisalabad and Allied Hospital, Faisalabad. He said that PCR Labs were also under construction in six hospitals. He disclosed that these six PCR labs were being setup at Services Hospital, Lahore, IPH, Lahore, Benazir Shaheed Hospital, Rawalpindi, Nishter Hospital, Multan, Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi and DHQ Hospital, Rawalpindi, for which equipment had been procured.
